Amal Clooney Just Stepped Out In Her Boldest Skirt Suit To Date

Skirt suits and Amal Clooney go together like summer picnics on the beach and a nice glass of chilled rosé. The barrister has, in time, become quite notable for sporting the once-dated lawyer outfit — and she's even managed to make the retro separates quite, well, stylish again. But it's the latest green skirt suit Clooney wore that has the fashion obsessed in a style frenzy — and everyone's trying to cop a lookalike of her Burberry set.

Why? Because it's bold in the best way, is rendered in the it-hue of fall 2019, and last but certainly not least, is Clooney-approved — aka, when one of the most stylish women in the world wears something, you can bet the fashion set will follow suit (pun intended).

On Sept. 24, Clooney was photographed running around New York City — and by the looks of it, she meant serious business. The 41-year-old human-rights lawyer is currently in the Big Apple for the United Nations General Assembly, running from one important meeting to the other, but, as per usual, she still managed to bring her A+ style game along for the ride.

Clooney was hard to miss on the bustling NYC streets on Tues., and that's all thanks to her poppy, cedar-green suit from Burberry. The set features a double-face neoprene A-line skirt that hits just above the knees and a matching car coat that lands right at the knees.

The 41-year-old opted to keep the coat open, which put her gorgeous, camel-colored merino wool sweater, also by Burberry, on full display. On the bottom? Nude, patent-leather power pumps, which coordinated perfectly with the top's neutral hue.

The finishing touches to Clooney's power outfit included a black Dior bag, round, tortoise-shell sunglasses, and glitzy earrings that appeared whenever the wind hit her bouncy, wavy hair. A swipe of red lipstick added the final pop.

While there's so much to admire about Clooney's latest street-style outfit, the one detail that simply can't be? The skirt suit's eye-catching verdant hue. As you probably know, slime-green was a major color trend for summer 2019 — and said shade has maintained its reign into autumn, too, with a subtle update.
