Amber Heard’s Latest Shoe Choice Is About As Classic As They Come
New trends may come and go on what feels like a weekly basis, but some items can last a lifetime in your wardrobe. They're the pieces you swear by whenever you're not sure about what to wear, and are often a great place to start when building out a capsule wardrobe. No one knows this quite as well as Amber Heard, whose classic Chanel Pumps are a staple in her collection.
Heard was spotted leaving dinner at Matsuhisa restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA. on August 18. She wore a white ribbed tank midi dress for the occasion. When it came to her accessories, the actor chose an old faithful piece to round out her outfit: a pair of Chanel heels. It's no secret that Heard has relied upon a pretty classic shoe capsule wardrobe in the past. From menswear-inspired brogues to combat boots, she goes back to styles that have been loved for generations.
The rest of her accessories were just as classic. She carried a black leather Saint Laurent crossbody bag with a gold chain strap, and opted to wear a gold Tiffany T bracelet. She also donned a necklace by celebrity-adored brand Missoma London. In fact, the piece was created in collaboration with British blogger Lucy Williams, proving how easy it can be to mix old and new styles together in one seamless look.
Chanel heels aren't sold online en masse, so you'll probably have to make a trip to your local boutique IRL to snag a pair for yourself. The brand has become known for its classic pieces, from the iconic handbags to the wide array of heels, flats, and boots. If you're looking to make an investment in an item that you'll surely own (and love) forever, Chanel is the place to go. Some styles can also be found on vintage sites such as The RealReal, so be sure to give consignment a whirl if you want to save a bit on cost.
Luckily, practically all of your favorite brands have been putting out similar alternatives recently, so you'll have a few different versions to pink from. Charles & Keith also reimagined the style with contrasting colors and edgy studs. Seoul-based brand Reike Nen made it's version with trendy PVC cutouts. If you're looking for something more classic, though, Sam Edelman makes a two-toned nude pair that retails for under $150 and is more widely available — and they look just like Heard's.
No matter which specific style you pick, the classic shape will go with just about anything in your current closet. For a more simple end-of-summer outfit, emulate Heard's little white dress on your next date night. For work, try pairing your pumps with wide-leg jeans or cropped trousers.
