Ashley Graham Just Brought Back The Color That Was Everywhere 10 Years Ago
Fashion trends always have a way of coming full circle, especially when they're so easy to pull off. Although mimosa — a rich and creamy tangerine hue — was Pantone's Color of The Year in 2009, celebrities' wardrobes have taken a modern spin on the shade in recent weeks. Case in point: Ashley Graham's Mango collection just hit stores, and it includes the dreamiest orange top that you'll want to add to your cart immediately.
Graham recently debuted her collaboration with Spanish clothing label Violeta By Mango, dubbed I Am What I Am. The size-inclusive collection aims to "exude style with these on-trend outfits that are bold with a touch of sexiness." The campaign also features model and entrepreneur Olivia Wilson and model slash law student Tash Ncube. Besides a classic editorial shoot, the brand partnered with the three women to produce a film dedicated to the collection itself.
Graham took to Instagram to show off a key piece in the line: a silky, button-down top in the ultimate mimosa shade. She paired the top with black-and-white polka dot pants, lots of gold necklaces, large hoops, and metallic pumps. In typical Graham fashion, she wore her hair in a side part, featuring undone, caramel-colored waves, and a glowing, minimalist beauty look.
Graham's collection isn't the only proof that orange is becoming a major hue in the fashion world. Recently, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner have opted for bright-orange pieces like cozy sweater dresses, bulky turtlenecks, and more.
If vibrant orange isn't your thing, Graham's take on the popular hue is the perfect starting ground. A little softer and more subdued than a traditional orange, mimosa is easy to work into your personal style (even if color is out of your wheelhouse). Try wearing a mimosa-colored corduroy skirt or even wear it in the form of a velvet long sleeve. There are plenty of ways to cater this model-inspired color to your own, personal style.
