Balenciaga's New Hourglass Bag Is Already Hailey Baldwin-Approved
While you might have to wait a few months to get your hands on newly-debuted fashion essentials (aka, those sure-to-be covetable pieces that designers debut on the fashion month runways) because a) they're just not yet available to shop or b) they sell out within minutes of dropping online and in stores, it's a different story for celebs. Most A-listers have first dibs on said designer staples, and as such, are among the first to take them out for a street-style spin. Case in point: Balenciaga's new Hourglass bag, which Hailey Baldwin already has a firm grasp around, and, as per usual, she styled it to perfection.
You might still be relishing in the amazingness that was Baldwin's wedding dress — snaps from the star-studded ceremony continue to flood the 'gram on the daily, offering you an endless array of non-conventional bridal inspo. The model wore sneakers to her reception (to no surprise) and her veil was certainly one for the celeb wedding history books.
With lots of eyes on Baldwin's wedding style, though, you might have missed some of her recent off-duty looks. The 22-year-old is officially back in Los Angeles after saying "I do" for the second time — and she's already back to her signature business-cool style sensibilities.
It seems Baldwin took some cues from her Aug. Vogue Paris photoshoot, because her recent look channels the late Princess Diana to a T. Oversized sweatshirts (and bike shorts) were two Lady Di's signatures, and while the 22-year-old is definitely keen to both those staple, she just took the former out for a spin.
Her Lady Di-inspired ensemble consisted of a relaxed-fitting Cornell sweatshirt, which peeked through underneath an oversized Jil Sander blazer. White denim served as a pair-with-everything base, while a few of-the-moment accessories acted as eye-catching updates to the classic uniform.
Enter, Baldwin's red baseball cap (which seems to be the accessory du jour right now among Hollywood's most stylish), those ever-popular padded Bottega Veneta mules, and Balenciaga's newest handbag drop: The Hourglass Bag that's available in a slew of sizes (XS, S, and M) and color ways, including a poppy pink, a sleek black, and Baldwin's croc-embossed iteration.
The bag get its name from its shape — it has a cool curved base that mimics that of an hourglass. What's more, it has a single top handle, plus a removable strap to turn it into a crossbody (because sometimes, hands free is the only way to go) and great interior space. Although Baldwin's XS version is right in line with the micro bag trend that's huge right now, it isn't one of those too-tiny-to-fit-anything-but-a-coin styles.
This Baldwin-approved bag is sold out, but there's hope: It's marked as coming soon. Ahead, see the styles and make sure to bookmark your favorites so you don't miss out on the next drop.
