Bella Hadid Just Wore The Most Perfect Travel Essential
Airport fashion isn't taken lightly by the model crowd. While the rest of us may dress for our early morning flights in a glorified version of pajamas (hey, satin sets are in these days), the it-girls are dressed in outfits worthy of Instagram. Take Bella Hadid's color blocked Diesel jacket, for instance.
The 22-year-old is traveling to promote Michael Kors' Cece shoulder bag, for which she's an ambassador. On Thurs., she made her way to JFK in the most inspiration of airport looks. It consisted of a taupe crop top and bike shorts two piece, over which she layered a red-white-and-blue color blocked shirt jacket.
She wheeled her hot-pink Louis Vuitton luggage and the celebrity-favorite Dior Book Tote out of her Tribeca apartment in chunky tennis shoes with tall black socks, as if she could get any cooler. Hadid looked more ready for a cocktail than an in-flight nap, especially with those colossal gold hoop earrings she had on.
The outfit might have been average if it weren't for that polychromatic statement jacket, which actually hails from Diesel's men's collection. The layer is a product of the Diesel Red Tag x Gr Uniforma collab designed by Gosha Rubchinskiy, who is the founder of an eponymous brand. Now, it's all making sense.
The collection is full of eclectic denim — think: ombre and patchwork — all modeled in the Fall/Winter 2019 lookbook by men. Hadid's shirt jacket, specifically, corresponds with a matching pair of pants.
It's made of cotton canvas and designed with abstract geometric shapes in red, black, and faded blue. The fit is boxy and the model wore hers slightly baggy and oversized as she typically prefers.
A funky jacket like this is the only piece you need to pair over your athleisure sets for a comfortable yet uber-stylish airport outfit. Hadid's and others like it, ahead.
