Autumn can translate into plenty of different meanings in the sartorial world (aka, boot season, sweater weather, the fall style lingo goes on and on), but there's one thing to be particularly excited about right now: the fact that tight season is here. Legs were the prime focus during Tues. evening's Calzedonia Fall/Winter 2019 runway show — which shouldn't come as a surprise, considering the Italian-based brand has become every fashion girl's go-to for tights that are well-made, chic, and reasonably-priced (aka, the triple threat of hosiery).
Models strutted down the catwalk in mini dress, bodysuits, or some iteration of the two, that really allowed the legs (and, as such, the tights) to be the center of attention. There were fishnet tights, animal-printed ones, and others that were right in line with 2019's logomania trend. If you weren't excited about tight season before Tues., the brand's presentation was sure to get you to be in no time.
As for the attendees of Calzedonia's annual LegShow? Just as you'd expect, their front-row looks centered around tights. Barbara Palvin, for example, opted for a style sprinkled with text, which she teamed with a cheetah-print dress, while Ferragni, who's an ambassador for the Italian brand, chose a pair that was glamorous in every sense of the word — and she styled them to perfection.
On Oct. 8, Ferragni arrived at the runway spectacular in your new favorite going-out look. The fashion powerhouse wore a black, A-line mini skirt, which she teamed with an organza button-down blouse that proved fall 2019's sheer trend is certainly not slowing down anytime soon.
A black bra, a diamond, bow-buckle belt, and fluffy pink Chiara Ferragni Collection heels all added eye-catching detail, but it was her glittery Calzedonia tights that truly made the evening look what it was. Not only did her hosiery of choice effortlessly coordinate with her sheer top for a super-streamlined getup, but it also infused the ensemble with a dash of sparkle.
So, before you pack away your mini dresses and skirts, take a lesson from Ferragni and slip into a pair of tights — whether sparkly or not. The undergarment will allow you to keep your warm-weather staples on hand for a little while longer, and really, who doesn't want that?
