Chrissy Teigen Just Wore The Most Unique Summer Dress
As far as summertime inspiration goes, Chrissy Teigen's street-style throughout the month of June has been a chock-full of enough outfit ideas to last you through the season. Whilst on a family vacation in Italy, for example, the author and model was spotted carrying the it-bag of the summer (hint: a Jacquemus tote that takes any ensemble from zero to 100 in seconds). Last week, she donned a quintessential summertime accessory that's both functional and chic. And now, she's found the only frock you'll want to wear for every upcoming occasion on your calendar. Enter, Teigen's lavender summer dress — a one-and-done piece you can take from day to night with very minimal effort.
Teigen spends much of her time in L.A., but the model jet set to New York City over the weekend to take the stage at the second annual POPSUGAR Play/Ground. The 33-year-old was one of the headliners at the two-day event, which is "an immersive and interactive festival aspiring to help women power their 'happily ever afters'" by offering access to keynote discussions with celebrities, fitness and wellness activities, and much more.
On Sun., Teigen chatted all things social media, relationships, and authenticity with BFF and hairstylist to the stars, Jen Atkin, with Luna making a brief but über-cute appearance on the POPSUGAR Play/Ground stage, too. The author shared some wise words with the attendees and, as per usual, sported an ensemble that was just as inspiration-worthy.
For the occasion, Teigen wore a lavender Solace London one shoulder mini dress, complete with a ruffled neckline that served all the drama. Considering the statement-making nature of the frock, the 33-year-old opted to stick with a few accessories, including oversized silver hoop earrings and a pair of PVC Alevi Milano pumps (complete with chain-link ankle strap).
Hairstylist Glen Coco created the perfect beach-y waves on Teigen — a beauty move that complemented the texture and movement of the frock's ruffled neckline — while makeup artist Kristine Studden went with neutral face in the form of a soft-brown smoky eye, glowing cheeks, and a glossy, nude pout.
Teigen's lavender summer frock hit on many of 2019's biggest trends, including statement-making detailing and muted pastel hues. What's more, it's elegant enough to be consider cocktail attire but can easily be dressed down for a casual day out — a true wardrobe win-win.
