Anyone who knows even just the basics about Chrissy Teigen knows that she takes to Twitter for just about everything. She's so prolific on the platform, in fact, that you can find everything from her go-to snack obsessions to her semi-regular installments of "celebrity question time," during which the star answers quite literally anything you'd ever wondered about being famous. But scroll past that very entertaining thread and you'll also see Chrissy Teigen's shag haircut showcased on her favorite social media account — and it's the content you'll really want to see.

Before the uber-entertaining Tweeter answered fans' burning questions about being a celebrity on Dec. 8 (do they have secret social media accounts? do they send each other birthday cards?), she uploaded a video on Dec. 5 showing off her new 'do.

"New hair alert very important," Teigen tweeted to her 12.1 million followers alongside the capture, which shows the model and TV personality running her hands through her new chop and remarking on how happy she is with the look. "It's good," and "Love it," she says in the video as she fluffs her newly styled strands. And it's easy to see why she's so enthusiastic about it.

Teigen tagged celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham in the clip, suggesting that the well-known hair artist worked her magic with some color updates as well — which would explain why Teigen's warm honey-blonde tresses look particularly sunny and bright.

As for the cut, it's looking particularly akin to the retro shag style, a style that steadily picked up steam this year thanks to other stars like Courteney Cox and Anne Hathaway, who have adopted telltale choppy layers and face framing bangs instead of the blunt bobs and lobs that the rest of the Hollywood crowd clamored for.

Teigen even had her hairstylist fashion the new cut in the old school way, with her fresh layers curled and flipped out in a wispy, effortless way that's oh-so-'70s (yet still, somehow feels modern). The result is bouncy, multidimensional, and full of life.
