Cindy Crawford’s Latest Off-Duty Look Is All About Stylish Comfort
It was the most stylish family outing of the week. On Aug 6., fashion icon Cindy Crawford, her husband Rande Gerber, and their daughter Kaia Gerber headed out the door for a fun of day exploring the Big Apple, which included a quick pitstop to pick up some ice cream (a classic summertime activity, no?). Gerber looked casual-cool in her floral-print frock — which, by the way, rings in at a reasonable $38 — while Crawford opted for a sleek slip dress and slides outfit that's as comfy as it is fashion-forward. And really, it doesn't get much better than that.
Scorching hot days (aka, those that are quite frequent during the dog days of summer) can make getting dressed a struggle. On Tues., the ever-stylish Crawford and her mini-me daughter, Gerber, were photographed turning the busy streets of New York City into their own personal runways. The two looked the epitome of summertime chic in their respective dresses of choice. Gerber went with the tried-and-true wrap silhouette, while the '90s icon paid homage to decade with a mid-length slip dress in a stunning olive-green hue.
Crawford's no-frills frock was simple and streamlined — as is often the case with most slip dresses. It's designed with dainty spaghetti straps, features a subtle V-neck, and looks great on its own, though it can also easily be worn in fall with an oversized sweater or leather jacket.
The supermodel is known for her sensible shoe choices, and she rarely, if ever, reaches for heels, aside from the occasional red-carpet outing. This time around, Crawford slipped into a pair of pointed-toe snakeskin slides that prove this animal print trend is still here to stay (and that comfortable footwear can be chic, too).
