Thursday might technically be the day most people post nostalgia-inducing throwback snaps on Instagram (aka, #throwbackthursday), but Courtney Cox decided to share her latest blast from the past a few days early. '90s fashion lovers, the Friends actor's latest Instagram, which features Cox's daughter Coco Arquette, is guaranteed to strike a major chord with you. What's more, it's perhaps the strongest piece of evidence of just how relevant '90s wardrobe essentials are today.

On Tues., Cox shared side-by-side photos of her and her teenage daughter, Coco. The 14-year-old may be splitting image of her mother, but ultimately, the point of the post was to highlight one of Cox's best purchases of all time: a purple lace-and-mesh dress that's so good, you'll wish you could get your hands on it, too.

"I’m not one to hold onto things but this was a damn good purchase! 21 years later...," she captioned the side-by-side images of herself and her daughter in the exact same dress. Cox's lilac-hued frock, which appears to feature a sheer, mesh top layered over a purple satin slip dress, first made its debut back in 1998 when she and her ex-husband, David Arquette, attended the red-carpet premiere of Snake Eyes.

Though it's unclear where her daughter, Coco, wore her mother's vintage dress to, one thing's for certain: It fits seamlessly into 2019's street-style scene, where '90s and early aughts fashion essentials are cropping up nearly every day.

One quick look into Cox's outfit archives demonstrates that her '90 wardrobe, much like her BFF, Jennifer Aniston's, was defined by slinky slip dress, thin-strapped heels, cropped cardigans, and thin-rimmed sunglasses — all pieces that cool-girls Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and more have been working into their off-duty looks as of late.

Only time will tell which vintage piece Cox's daughter will revive next. Until then, shop The Zoe Report's roundup of '90s-inspired pieces to help you master the throwback dressing trend with ease.
