Oh hi, August. The commencement of this fine month signals a few things. One: It's time to milk summer for all she's worth, so be sure to get in as many all-white looks as humanly possible. Two: Oppressive temps are guaranteed, so stock up on lightweight staples that will get you through impending heat waves in style. Emily Ratajkowski's white shirt dress was a low-key sartorial solution to mid-90s degree weather in New York City on Tues., and it bore a striking resemblance to one of Carrie Bradshaw's many creative looks throughout Sex And The City's six-season run.

Just like a classic white blouse, Mr. Big was a fixture in Carrie's life that the newspaper columnist always found her way back to, one way or another. During one of many inevitable reunions, Bradshaw agreed to meet her notorious flame at the Central Park Boat House. As she floated over to her on-again-off-again romance in a downright perfect summer sun dress, things swiftly went south. When the finance tycoon leaned in for an unwelcome kiss, Bradshaw pulled away in shock, losing balance and launching them both into the murky green pond below.

True to form, Bradshaw went back to Big's place to dry off, and ended up free-styling yet another iconic outfit formula that was simplistic summer perfection. Draping his oversized dress shirt over her petite frame, Bradshaw cinched the waist with an Hermes belt, naturally, and went on her way. Rihanna sported the inventive look back in 2016, and now another tastemaker is onboard with the chic and breezy combination.

Ratajkowski paired her belted button down with chunky white sneakers and iced black coffee, finishing off the carefree look with a sleek updo and tortious shell sunglasses. The versatile outfit is perfect for when you've got a mile-long to-do list and can't be bothered with scorching temps ruining your steez, and is just as easily styled with western-inspired footwear or Teva sandals. Round it out with statement bangles and stacked chains, and voilà, you're prepared to serve Bradshaw-approved vibes with little effort.
