EmRata Just Wore This Bold Fall 2019 Boot Trend (& You’re Going To Want To Follow Her Lead)
Fall is just around the corner — but the temperatures might be proving otherwise. And dressing for that tricky in-between, you know, where it's chilly in the morning and quite warm in the afternoon, isn't always the easiest to master. But luckily, Emily Ratajkowski's latest look (and those bold yellow boots) just served up transitional perfection. Best of all, though? The model's combo is fuss-free and probably already sitting in your closet right now — talk about fashion made easy, no?
After making her rounds at New York Fashion Week in getups that shined (talking about you, bikini-and-tuxedo-jacket pairing), EmRata is back to her usual routine, which, as you can probably expect, includes walks around the Big Apple with her puppy Colombo in tow. Yes, that is her dog and yes, he has grown quite a bit since she and husband Sebastian Bear-McClard adopted him back in May.
As per usual, EmRata nailed dog-mom style, but that's not all — she's also serving up a lesson in fall dressing, which everyone could use some guidance with, especially after spending summer 2019 in easy, breezy dresses and slip skirts.
Getting back into the swing of autumn fashion takes time, but as Ratajkowski proves so effortlessly, a summer-to-fall outfit requires minimal pieces. In her case, she reached for a crisp white bodysuit from Alix NYC that she paired with medium-wash Re/Done skinny jeans.
The real MVP in the ensemble, though, were her mustard-colored knee-high boots from Rag & Bone that she decided to wear over her jeans. Yellow boots for fall? They're an absolute must-try.
What's more, the boots-over-pants trend is one that stirs up lots of conversations, but considering the pairing was all over the Spring/Summer 2020 runways, plus the fact that EmRata just took it out for a spin in NYC, it's likely to be very big in the coming weeks.
The model rounded out her fall-perfect look with a brown belt, a '90s-esque bag that was slung over her shoulder, her favorite Oliver Peoples cat-eye sunglasses, and gold tube hoops that ever-so-slightly peeked out from underneath her hair.
Take EmRata's ensemble into a chilly autumn day by throwing on a leather jacket, a trench coat, or a fuzzy shearling topper. Everything else, from the pants to the yellow boots of choice, can stay the same.
