Emma Roberts Nails Airport Style In The Perfect Shearling Coat
Though the SAG Awards took center stage on Sun., there's another West Coast affair that's worthy of your attention. The Sundance Film Festival officially kicked off on Jan. 24, and a handful of celebrities have touched down in Utah to make an appearance at the annual event. While the Sundance carpet has proven to be a major source of outfit inspiration, there's another — perhaps unexpected — location that's been an evenly matched style contender. Just take a look at Emma Roberts' latest airport look as a hint.
It's no secret the 27 year old has become a sort of airport outfit master. After all, years in the industry (not to mention countless hours spent on a plane) does teach you quite a bit about the major dos — and don'ts — of travel style. Comfort is key, but that certainly doesn't mean you can't look fashion-forward, too, and Roberts' most recent ensemble marries these two elements with ease.
On Jan. 25, she was photographed at the Salt Lake City International Airport, presumably on her way to the Sundance Film Festival, in a cozy-cool getup that you'll want to work into your travel rotation stat. The foundation of her look consisted of light-wash mom jeans and a slightly sheer, light-brown shirt that she tucked into the denim.
The simple base layers were taken to new heights with the addition of her statement Coach coat — an outerwear piece that's both trendy and practical. It features hand-stitched, Western-inspired detailing that feels very of-the-moment, while the shearling-lined interior provide maximum warmth and comfort. In typical Roberts fashion, she chose to wear the coat slung over her shoulders for a relaxed, cool-girl touch.
The best part about Roberts' coat? It has that perfectly oversized silhouette that makes it easy to wear over super-chunky knits and double as a blanket — an essential for when that chilly airplane AC strikes. Roberts rounded out her look with a handful of statement-making accessories, including a pair of Oliver Peoples sunglasses, leopard-print Chuck Taylors, and a fuzzy, sheepskin tote bag .
The next time you feel like your airport style is missing something, throw on a caramel-colored suede coat to instantly up the cool factor of more simple base pieces. Cop Roberts' exact Coach jacket, as well as The Zoe Report's favorites, below.
