Emma Roberts Just Wore The Anti-Skinny Jean That's Trending For Spring
Flared is the new skinny when it comes to this season's jeans. Bellbottom silhouettes have completely taken over nearly every denim designer's spring lineup and one major trendsetter in particular seems to be especially pleased. Flared jeans are a staple in Emma Roberts' enviable wardrobe these days.
Hardly anyone dishes out as much fashion inspo on a daily basis as this American Horror Story actor. Her impeccable style is comprised of edgy statement pieces mixed with super-feminine elements, all with a cool retro flair. Can't you just picture Roberts geeking out over some fringe-adorned suede jacket from the '70s during her regular consignment store run? Her latest obsession, though, is a good pair of hyper-flared, cropped jeans.
The trendsetter's collection of skinnies looks like it's been completely replaced by what people are calling the anti-skinny jean. Take the ones she wore on Weds. for example: the perfect high-waisted pants with frayed, cut-off hems.
The light-indigo wash and wide-leg cut of these 7 For All Mankind jeans gives them a vintage feel that's right up Roberts' alley. She tucked a girly white eyelet top with ruffled sleeves into the pants and added edge to the look with the help of lace-up boots (her favorite footwear of late).
In fact, this feminine top, flared jeans, and edgy shoes combo has sort of become the 28-year-old's everyday look.
Roberts has been living in flowy tops with floral prints and frilly detailing, always pairing them with this same style of cropped, wide-leg pants. She's worn other versions by Re/Done and Topshop recently, too.
Of course, she hasn't left her signature graphic t-shirts behind. The actor's old-school rocker tees seem to be as much of a fit for the flared jeans as her pretty blouses are.
Emma Roberts' cut-offs and others to help you try out the anti-skinny jean trend for yourself, ahead.
