Here’s How Emma Roberts Makes The Tie-Dye Trend Look So Wearable
Trends can be pretty unpredictable but tie-dye was probably the last thing you expected to see on the runway this spring. The '60s kaleidoscopic print has been revived by a few clever designers and nobody is more thrilled about it than the queen of vintage, herself. The tie-dye tee suits Emma Roberts' retro style perfectly.
The Spring 2019 collections were like a flashback to Woodstock with all the bohemian prints, floaty silhouettes, and fringe. One facet of the resurgence of '60s style was, of course, tie-dye. It was only a matter of time before your mom's Fleetwood Mac tee came back in style.
Nobody does the vintage look like Roberts and, rest assured, the American Horror Story actor didn't waste a minute to introduce one of these nostalgic shirts to her spring wardrobe. During her most recent outing in Los Angeles, she sported a psychedelic tee under an old-school track jacket for the ultimate throwback outfit.
Her version of a tie-dye tee was blue and green with a pop of bright red because you know Roberts isn't afraid of bold, clashing colors. Her nylon jacket was olive green with cream-colored stripes and her jeans featured frayed hems. Even her chunky black loafers had a bit of fringe, adhering to the '60s motif.
You can bet that Roberts spends more time in consignment stores than any other celebrity in Hollywood. Her closet is stocked with bellbottoms, retro Mary Janes, corduroy, groovy florals and more graphic tees than you can count.
Tie-dye is just another one of those old-school things she was destined to become obsessed with. She's not the only one, though. Lucy Hale, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Gigi Hadid have all been sporting tie-dye lately, too.
R13, Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, Prada, Stella McCartney and so many more have already incorporated these rainbow designs into their spring/summer collections. Be among the first to sport the trend with a tie-dye tee like Roberts'.
