The latest piece to take the 2019 street-style scene by storm? Gigi Hadid's black cowboy boots, an epic footwear find that has quickly become the model's go-to shoe of choice — and they're bound to be your new favorites, too.
Hadid is no stranger to Westernwear. Since it first rose in popularity back in 2017, the model has been seen sporting the trend to varying degrees, from a more subtle approach in the form of embellished belts to the overt, like plaid tops paired with star-adorned cowboy boots. Her latest take on the trend, though, managed to land right in between — not too bold that is becomes unwearable in your day-to-day, but not too understated that it goes unnoticed.
On March 30, Hadid was photographed turning the NYC streets into her own personal runway. She was the epitome of casual-cool in a pair of slightly oversized white jeans, which featured a unique center seam, an Off-White logo tee with a corset-like fit, and a classic white blazer.
Her all-white base layers were the ideal contrast against her shoes of choice: black, croc-textured cowboy boots. Unlike other celeb-approved takes on the trend — Jessica Alba's, for example, were a bit more out there — Hadid's err on the side of minimalism, thanks to their sleek, modern shape and classic color.
Though simple, Hadid's cowboy boots, which hail from For the Memory of a Lifetime, are anything but boring, thanks to the unique silver block heel that glistens whenever the lights strikes and a pointed-toe front.
It's worth noting the March 30 outing wasn't the only time the model slipped into her For the Memory of a Lifetime shoes. A day after, Hadid was photographed wearing them again, teaming the Western classic with light-wash jeans, a graphic tee, and a beige sweater that she tied over her shoulders.
