This Gigi Hadid-Approved Trick Makes Denim-On-Denim Outfits *That* Much Easier To Wear
Gigi Hadid whipped out every fashion girl's secret weapon over the weekend. The model put her own spin on double denim, breaking up the traditional Canadian tuxedo by incorporating contrasting colors and throwing animal print into the mix. Gigi Hadid's denim and brown outfit is a whole new take on an age-old trend.
Everyone knows that street style is equally important as what's on the runway during Fashion Week, and you can count on Hadid to keep the looks coming. Before walking in the Burberry show on Sun., Hadid took to the streets of London in an enviable off-duty look that will take you back to the '80s.
She tucked a brown turtleneck into slouchy, light-wash mom jeans and wore a matching oversized denim jacket over it. She broke up the head-to-toe blue jean look with pops of neutral brown, including Burberry's camel-colored TB Bag slung over her shoulder and leopard-print boots on her feet.
Leaving the show that night, she traded her animal-print footwear for another pair of statement heels, this time cinnamon-colored booties with black tips on the toes. The model never took off her Vogue Eyewear x Gigi Hadid cateye sunglasses, of course.
Denim on denim has a high-fashion moment about once a decade and that intermittent occasion is happening right now. All your favorites have been sporting Canadian tuxedo looks lately.
Earlier in the month, for instance, Priyanka Chopra wore a denim blazer by Fendi over a pair of dark-wash skinny jeans. Hailey Baldwin and Yara Shahidi are both big fans of double denim, too. Hadid, herself, has sported all-over denim before.
The model's latest, though, is a perfect way to take denim on denim into your day-to-day look by breaking up the monochrome with touches of brown throughout.
