Gigi Hadid Tried Out The Colorful Eye Makeup Trend & Made It Look So Wearable
Neon-hued clothing has been everywhere this season. As such, it should come as no surprise that the vivid shades have found their way into 2019's best beauty looks, too. First, it was Selena Gomez who made a very convincing case for sporting slime-green lids (yes, really), and now it's Gigi Hadid's yellow eyeshadow that proves how incredibly wearable the colored makeup trend actually is. Prepare to toss you go-to nude palette aside, because the model's sunny shadow is all you'll want to wear this spring (and summer).
Hadid has been experimenting with new, unexpected hairstyles as of late. Just last week, she rocked one of Bella Hadid's favorite '90s updos — a welcomed change of pace from her usual loose waves — and sported the longest, glossiest braid you'll ever lay your eyes on. So it's only fitting that she's testing out fresh, bolder makeup looks, too.
On Mon. evening, the model was photographed out and about in Paris, and though her neon-yellow sweater and green printed pants were likely the first thing you admired about her getup, it's her yellow eyeshadow — which perfectly played off of her sweater's vivid hue — that proved unbeatable. Not only is it an instant mood booster, but it proves that the season's most daring makeup trend is actually quite easy to pull off.
The mastermind behind Hadid's yellow lids, Patrick Ta, took to Instagram on Mon. to share a close-up snap of the model's sunny '70s-inspired eyes. And as it turns out, it's a makeup look that's proves incredibly simple to replicate, regardless of your skill level.
You can recreate Hadid's yellow eyeshadow look with just a handful of essentials, including a long-lasting lid primer (an important product you don't want to skip out on), a highly pigmented yellow palette, and a small shadow brush that allows for easy application.
Though Ta focused the color on Hadid's inner corners, a yellow shadow can just as easily be applied all over your lids, too. Swipe on a little or layer it for a bold, out-there color that's sure to take your look to new heights.
