Although Gwyneth Paltrow married TV writer Brad Falchuk in Sept., she's kept her photos from the day locked away until now. After much anticipation, the actor finally took to Instagram on Fri. to reveal the first look at the intimate affair, including her stunning gown. Needless to say, Gwyneth Paltrow's Valentino wedding dress is so gorgeous, it's bound to inspire brides for years to come.

Paltrow met Falchuk, the co-creator of American Horror Story, on the set of Glee and the two started dating in 2014. Falchuk popped the question three years later and on Sept. 29, just two days after the actor's 46th birthday, the couple exchanged vows at Paltrow's home in the Hamptons. An anonymous source told Entertainment Tonight that it was a "fairytale wedding," and Paltrow's photos confirm that it was, indeed.

Goop, the lifestyle brand and magazine that Paltrow launched in 2008, published 47 photos from the celebrity-studded event, offering a glimpse into the perfect autumn day. The dreamiest detail of all? Paltrow's magical Valentino gown.

The dress is a masterpiece of creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, featuring a sweetheart neckline, capped sleeves, an open back, and a sleek A-line silhouette. Adhering to the garden party motif, the dress was decorated with all-over floral lace appliqué. Paltrow wore her hair down in loose, piecey waves, topped with a dramatic, beaded cathedral-length veil.

It was no surprise that Paltrow chose Valentino for her big day. Just months before, she and her then-fiancé vacationed with the designer in Capri. After the ceremony, however, the actor changed into a more reception-ready look, a caped romper by another one of her friends, Stella McCartney, who actually helped the newlyweds celebrate their honeymoon in London.

London was the final stop of the couple's multi-county honeymoon — which also included Umbria, Italy, and Paris, France — and it was there that Paltrow opened Goop's first international store. Demi Moore and Liv Tyler attended the launch.

Wedding guests included Cameron Diaz, who planned Paltrow's bachelorette party in Mexico, and Jerry Seinfeld, who hosted the couple's rehearsal dinner. Former co-star Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Murphy, and Steven Spielberg attended the Amagansett ceremony, too.

Paltrow and Falchuk — which the actor merged into "Faltrow" in her Instagram hashtag — opted for a small get-together with only about 70 guests. Held at her rustic New York residence, the night included alfresco dinner under charming bistro lights (and prepared by famous Argentine chef Francis Mallmann, who was featured on Chef's Table), transportation around the estate via the classiest Mini Mokes, a live jazz band, and plenty of dancing.

The couple managed to keep their wedding a secret all year long and waited more than a month after the nuptials to make even the slightest peep about the details. Now that the Oscar winner has finally offered up an inside look into what she called "the best day of [the couple's] lives," budding brides can start taking notes from Paltrow's day — starting with that mesmerizing dress.
