Exhibit A: One of the most famous models of the minute recently demonstrated a stylish take of the trend. The very second she arrived at Milan Fashion Week on Sept. 19, Gigi Hadid proved she knows how to style sweatpants while looking effortlessly chic.
The past few weeks have been busy for Hadid, who walked a handful of shows during New York Fashion Week before heading to Milan for her latest adventure. As usual, Hadid has been photographed with her sister, Bella Hadid, and her brother, Anwar, who has been much more prominent in the fashion scene in recent months.
Before making her way to the Alberta Ferretti show (the model's first Milan runway of the season), Hadid was photographed wearing unique, gray patchwork sweatpants by New Zealand designer Courtney Pellow. She paired the knit, high-waisted sweats (which have yet to be released online) with a form-fitting, quarter-zip top and glossy Prada sneakers.
Dressing up an otherwise athletic ensemble, Hadid paired the look with a jewel-adorned Chanel tote and her signature tiny sunglasses. Considering she was en route to hair and makeup ahead of the show, Hadid left her hair in a slicked-back, low ponytail with a blunt middle part (a trend the celebrity set has relied on frequently this season).
Hadid's off-duty outfit proves comfort and style can occur seamlessly and simultaneously. Hadid is all too familiar with the idea of dressing up pieces that others may consider slouchy. Just last week, she was photographed in New York City wearing a cozy all-white outfit which she paired with sleek, nude booties and a shearling bag for added sophistication.
