Huda Beauty Launched A New Palette & The Eyeshdaow Combinations Are Basically Endless
Attention, astrologists and beauty fans alike: Another Mercury retrograde is upon us all. In fact, the celestial event goes into motion Oct. 31 — which means you may want to triple-check any complicated Halloween plans (or costumes). There is one perk to the upcoming phenomenon, though: Huda Beauty's new Mercury Retrograde palette. Named after the infamous planetary orbit, the $67 eyeshadow palette features 18 shades that'll fit right into your own beauty routine, regardless of which direction Mercury decides to travel.
And yes, there are options for beauty fans who prefer to keep things subtle, and shadows for those who are anything but. The Mercury Retrograde palette includes four Huda Beauty eyeshadow finishes: Nine matte shades, six metallic colors, two sheer multi-reflective shadows, and one pearl- and sparkle-infused glitter (appropriately titled "Nebula"). The color story skews '90s; clock the dreamy teals and baby pinks that dot the entire palette, mingling with the more everyday neutrals.
"This has to be our most amazing eyeshadow palette to date and my all-time fave!" Huda Beauty's Founder, Huda Kattan, wrote in an Instagram post showcasing the Mercury Retrograde palette's swatches. "The colors are so beautiful and fuse perfectly with four amazing textures, from the most buttery mattes and a popping glitter to high shine metallics and our super unique multi-reflective shadows."
Huda Beauty also released a matching $44 Mercury Retrograde Brush Set, as well — just in case you need a few brushes specifically designed to pack on shimmer shades. The limited-edition set includes Huda Beauty's Pack & Blend Brush, Fender Blender Brush, and Contour & Blend Brush; plus, it comes wrapped up in a holographic pouch for easy on-the-go applications.
Each dual-ended brush complements the palette's intriguing finishes: The Pack & Blend Brush will help you achieve soft edges and dramatic colors, the Contour & Blend Brush works pigment into delicate corners, and the Fender Blender Brush covers your out-of-the-box shades, like shimmers, metallics, and cream shadows.
So, although there's no stopping Mercury's impending retrograde, at the very least you can spend it at your vanity, experimenting with Huda Beauty's latest creation. Ahead, the new Mercury Retrograde palette and limited-edition brush set.
