Kaia Gerber’s Sunglasses Are A Key Piece In Her Summer Style
As it turns out, celebs are just like you, in that when they find a fashion item they absolutely love, they reach for it time and again (i.e., they're just as prone to a style repeat as you, especially when it comes to their accessories). And model-of-the-moment Kaia Gerber has officially found her new favorite sunglasses: a pair of tortoise shell frames that aren't only easy on the eyes but quite easy on your bank account, too.
Cindy Crawford's mini-me was spotted out and about in the Big Apple on June 28. Gerber, alongside BFF Tommy Dorfman, attended a Pride event held at Stonewall Inn — the birthplace of the LGBTQ rights movement — where Lady Gaga, clad in sparkly rainbow boots, also made a surprise appearance in honor of Pride month.
For her Fri. NYC outing, Gerber sported a pair of high-waisted black trousers, which she paired with a simple white tank top and white Converse Chuck Taylors — her look harked back on '80s style to a T, with her accessories of choice further adding a dose of nostalgia to her look.
The 17-year-old reached for a white, grungy grommet-style belt, topping off her street-style getup with layered gold necklaces, a chain-link crossbody bag, and a pair of cat-eye tortoise sunglasses from celeb-beloved eyewear brand, Sunday Somewhere. Gerber's particular sunnies are dubbed the "Georgia" and boast an elegant yet bold silhouette that, per the brand is, "soft, feminine, and oozes class."
Two noteworthy things about Gerber's sun-shielding frames? She's worn them more than a handful of times in June (that's how much she likes them) and they ring in at a reasonable $260, which is actually relatively affordable, especially when you take into account how much some celeb-favorite sunnies can cost.
