Kaia Gerber Just Wore The High-End Version Of Her Go-To Boots
The combat boot trend isn't letting up, as proven by supermodels from Los Angeles to Paris who just can't get enough of the chunky footwear style. The latest iteration of the utilitarian trend can be seen via Kaia Gerber's white combat boots, which actually cost a pretty penny compared to her go-to version by Dr. Martens. The 17-year-old It-girl was seen at LAX on Tues. sporting the ivory boots by Jimmy Choo, which she paired with a simple black sweater and light-wash denim.
The minimal, lace-up boots are an obvious staple for a girl on the go, and they're versatile enough to pair with dresses, jeans, or even your favorite sweatsuit (read: when you can't even deal with planning a travel look).
Even though Dr. Martens might have previously been associated with punk or grunge culture, it's become increasingly clear that they can totally read high-end. Just last week, Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel was spotted wearing the popular Dr. Marten platform design at the Versace fashion show, a stark contrast to other lavishly outfitted attendees. The model kept her look chic, refined, and a little rough around the edges, making a serious case for army-inspired footwear, even at star-studded occasions.
Gerber, on the other hand, showcased how the weather-resistant style is still a key choice for chill moments, such as a Tues. night at LAX. The model opted for a pricier version by Jimmy Choo, which come with a crystal-embellished strap that appears to have been removed by Gerber who was clearly keeping it simple.
