Karen Walker Launched A New Collection Of Engagement Rings & It’s Perfect For Nontraditional Brides
With an existing offering including ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrances, it may seem like Karen Walker is already doing it all; however, she's now bringing her talents to a new category that'll make soon-to-be brides very happy. Karen Walker's Atelier Jewelry Collection (along with an equally gorgeous lineup of wedding-day outfits) marks the designer's first foray into bridal. "Our clients have been buying a lot of our rings for use as nuptial rings for many years and we just felt that the time was right to create a collection dedicated to engagement, wedding, and eternity rings," Walker tells The Zoe Report over email.
Launching on Aug. 14, the bespoke collection delivers styles ranging from simple, delicate bands to eye-catching, bold rings that all remain true to Karen Walker's unique design aesthetic. "We have 14 ring shapes and each is available in three metals, with three different diamond choices and five semi-precious stone choices," says Walker. "Our customer will make the selection they wish for each of these elements to create a piece that’s very rare and special to them."
Each style lists a starting price that'll change depending on the design of your bespoke piece. You can take your pick from either a white, yellow, or rose gold band, and incorporate the stones of your choosing. Champagne diamonds, black diamonds, and white diamonds as well as morganite, grey moonstone, peach moonstone, onyx, and rutilated quartz are all at your finger tips (or rather, may soon be glistening from around your finger).
"For many of the rings we wanted to play in the area of traditional settings but to create them with unexpected stones like peach morganite and rutilated quartz. We didn’t want just traditional solitaires, we wanted pieces that felt more us," Walker explains. "We also wanted our customers to be really involved in the design of the rings so we’ve created them in a way that allows the customer to choose their metal and stones creating over 500 different variations."
You can select one ring to stand alone or stack it with bands to create a striking suite. Take the Ritual Suite: The Art Deco-inspired design is impressive on its own, but by adding two Ritual Bands you can make it even more impactful. Meanwhile, those after a dainty silhouette should peek at the Forever Suite. Though smaller in size, this duo is still just as dazzling with its combination of Walker’s signature arrowhead and five-point star motifs.
A real standout in the collection would be the True Love Ring, which happens to be a favorite of Walker's as well. "If I had to pick one ring only it would have to be the True Love Ring with white diamonds and yellow gold because it's just such a knockout," she notes. Worn alone, the stunning starburst design is already a showstopper, and with the addition of the True Love Band, it'll really take your breath away.
