This Subtle Hairstyle Just Switched Up Karlie Kloss’ Entire Look
Since chopping her signature mid-length locks into a blunt lob in early Feb., Karlie Kloss has almost exclusively rocked a middle part. Loose and wavy is typically the name of the game when it comes to the model's styling approach, too, but it seems she's been feeling a bit more adventurous in the hair department as of late. Just like you, the Project Runway host is all about switching up her look come springtime — and she may have just found the easiest, most foolproof way to do so. A comb and a few products are all you need to emulate Kloss' dramatic side-part hairstyle for yourself.
On more days than not, the Kode with Klossy founder is busy attending a red carpet event, which means the fashion and beauty inspiration is streaming in almost nonstop. On April 16, the model stepped out for Bravo’s A Night of Food and Fashion event, wearing what was easily one of her most daring looks to date.
Kloss glided down carpet (and posed for the cameras) in a bright-red dress from Olivier Theyskens' Fall 2019 collection. The frock featured a plunging V-neck, an asymmetric hemline, and bold cutout detailing along the side and back. The striking silhouette proved to be the perfect pairing for her equally dramatic hairstyle.
The model's hairstylist, Justine Marjan, who's impressive client roster includes the likes of Ashley Graham and Kristin Cavallari, took to Instagram to show off her latest Kloss creation: a sleek side-part hairstyle that drew inspiration from the '80s cult classic film, Scarface.
"Scarface ❤️ vibes," Marjan wrote, before going on the reveal the key tool she used to achieve the model's sleek look. The stylist called on Ghd's Gold Styler "to smooth and curl [Kloss'] ends under for a super chic finish," she explained.
To emulate the model's dramatic side-part hairstyle, you'll want to have just a few products within reach, including a comb, a smoothing cream, and last but certainly not least, a flat iron. Kloss' latest hairstyle is proof that simply switching up your part can transform your entire look in seconds — and without commitment, at that.
If you're itching for a change, but aren't quite ready to get a cut, consider rocking a deep side part à la Kloss. Ahead, The Zoe Report rounded up everything needed to recreate the model's sleek, '80s-inspired hairstyle at home.
