When it comes to building the perfect springtime capsule wardrobe, there are a handful of pieces you should absolutely include. A lightweight dress that can be worn both in and out of office is key. Easy, everyday jeans, a crisp white tee, and an elegant blouse are three other essentials to add into the mix. Last but certainly not least, you'll definitely want to scoop up a pair of Kate Middleton's brown culottes — they're a bit more casual than classic trousers, but they're just as chic, versatile, and work-to-play-approved.

On May 20, Middleton stepped out for the public unveiling of her latest project: a Back to Nature-themed garden designed in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society. The initiative, now on display at the Chelsea Flower Show, hopes to "inspire children, families, and communities to get outside and enjoy the huge benefits that nature has on our physical and mental wellbeing," according to a tweet from Kensington Palace.

For the outdoors-y occasion, Middleton looked the epitome of springtime chic in camel-colored culottes by Massimo Dutti. The bottoms, which feature elegant tortoise-button detailing on the front, two side pockets, and belt loops, boast an uncomplicated design that's certain to pair well with everything in your closet, deeming them the ultimate wardrobe staple you'll reach for nonstop this season.

Best of all, though? The royalty-approved pants aren't all too pricey, either, ringing in at $110 — and they're still available to shop right this minute. Word to the wise: acting fast is key, because they're destined for sold-out territory.

The duchess paired her culottes with another quintessential warm-weather find: an eyelet blouse from M.i.h. Jeans, complete with a scalloped trim on the neck and puff sleeves, the latter of which has been popping up everywhere recently.

She rounded out her gardening getup with a pair of crisp white Supergas — Middleton's all-time favorite comfort shoes — a brown woven belt, and emerald drop earrings from Monica Vinader.
