Carrie Bradshaw Would Totally Approve Of Kate Middleton’s Latest Shoes
Apparently Wed.'s 100 Women in Finance gala called for the boldest footwear in the duchess' closet. Kate Middleton's sparkly heels have struck again, and they put the perfect final touch on her pink Gucci ballgown. These dazzling pumps seriously amped up the royal's glam.
Middleton absolutely wowed at Wed.'s dinner in an outfit fit for a fairytale. For the formal occasion, she chose a flowy dress made of various pretty shades of pink and the eye-catching statement earrings she wore to Pippa Middleton's wedding in 2017.
The accessories she chose were quite bold for the duchess, too. In addition to the burgundy velvet clutch she carried (that happened to match her belt perfectly), the shoes she slipped into were something you'd expect to see Carrie Bradshaw wearing in an episode of Sex and the City. The duchess' feet were adorned with a surprisingly glitzy pair of Oscar de la Renta pumps.
Although the floor-length tulle nearly concealed her glittery heels — named the "Cabrina" — all that sparkle made them impossible to miss. Could it be Valentine's Day that had Middleton in such a romantic mood? Either way, this super-rare moment of glam immediately earned a spot in the duchess' fashion archives.
Surprisingly, Middleton has worn these sparkly numbers before. In fact, they seem to be becoming a Feb. tradition. The duchess first debuted them with a sparkly long-sleeved midi at the UK-India Year of Culture event in Feb. 2017. She then wore them a month later with a blue gown to a gala dinner in Paris.
Then, the 37-year-old trendsetter hid them under that unforgettable cape dress during a royal dinner in Norway in Feb. 2018. And now, a year later, she's getting in her annual wear of the glitter pumps with a pink, princess-like gown, leaving you to wonder how she'll possibly top the look next year.
