Kate Middleton Just Wore The Queen’s Pearl Earrings With A Zara Headband & Totally Pulled It Off
While she's often photographed wearing either a tiara or a fascinator, Kate Middleton's Zara headband is one piece you can actually work into your everyday wardrobe. Yes, that's right — the Duchess of Cambridge turned to the high-street retailer for her latest hair accessory, once again showing she doesn't shy away from wallet-friendly styles. On top of that, her pairing of a headband and a set of pearl earrings makes for an elegant holiday look you can easily replicate.
For the Festival of Remembrance held at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, Nov. 9, Middleton wore a sparkly, padded headband from Zara. Ringing in for just $29.90, the hair adornment brought a sophisticated shimmer with its black band and tonal appliqués. Leave it to the Duchess, however, to bring her royal touch to the accessories look. According to Harper's Bazaar, she matched up the affordable headband with a set of pearl and diamond earrings borrowed from Queen Elizabeth, further proving she's mastered the art of high-low dressing.
And while Middleton wore a navy, midi-length long-sleeve dress and a pair of pointy-toe black pumps, you can match up the headband-and-pearl-earring combo with a number of holiday-ready pieces living in your closet. The classic duo will bring a refined feel to everything from cozy sweater looks and LBDs to glitzy, festive attire.
But while securing a Zara headband is both easy and affordable, it's not quite as easy to replicate a pair of pearl earrings borrowed from the queen. However, there are plenty of options that look similar (albeit with a little less history) that look just as elegant paired with a headband as they do in Middleton's look.
Obviously anything the Duchess (and any of the royals, for that matter) wears is not likely to be around for long, so you'll want to shop the headband sooner rather than later to get your hands on it. So keep scrolling for the Zara style (and a couple of chic similar options as well) in addition to some pretty pearl earrings to complete this royal-approved look.
