It's nearly time for Katherine Schwarzenegger to walk down the aisle, so on Sat., her friends and family gathered to shower the bride. Blending tradition with a modern trend, the 29-year-old opted for a timeless ensemble with contemporary accents for the momentous occasion. The highlight of Katherine Schwarzenegger's bridal shower dress was the fringe.

Though intimate, the get-together was still a star-studded one with no shortage of entertainment, thanks to host and mother-of-the-bride Maria Shriver. The famed journalist certainly didn't skimp on the activities or the guest list, seeing as the event featured a full-on gospel choir and DIY flower arrangement station. Oh, and Oprah Winfrey was in attendance.

Chris Pratt was also there among the 100 other guests to celebrate his fiancée, who looked downright stunning in a white, fringe-adorned column dress. Her strappy midi was an adaptation of the Dawson design from Lela Rose's Spring 2019 bridal collection.

It featured dainty spaghetti straps, elegant lace overlay, and trendy tiered fringe detailing on the skirt — the perfect modern twist on an old-fashioned classic.

Schwarzenegger accessorized the pretty number with a matching hair clip, which pinned her loose waves behind an ear, understated jewelry, and the simplest nude pumps.

Flapper-inspired fringe is a major trend this season and it's fast approaching the world of bridal fashion, too.

Priyanka Chopra, who just married Nick Jonas this past winter in what seemed like months of back-to-back ceremonies, was among the first to incorporate it into her pre-wedding looks last fall. In fact, Chopra wore a fringe Marchesa dress to her own bridal shower, which took place at Tiffany's luxe Blue Box Cafe in Oct.

Wedding dress designers like Rue de Seine have added a bohemian feel to their latest collections with the help of fringe, while others (like Schwarzenegger's Lela Rose midi) have adhered more to the '20s motif.

Either way, fringe is a hit with bridal style and everyday looks alike. Channel Schwarzenegger with dresses inspired by hers, ahead.
