Katherine Schwarzenegger’s Wedding Dress Was So Stunning Up Close

In case you missed it, Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger officially tied the knot on Sat. after a whirlwind six-month engagement. The couple never announced an official wedding date, so the June 8 ceremony was a welcomed surprise for fans, who were eagerly waiting to see what the bride — who's quickly become a style icon in the making — would wear down the aisle. As you'd expect, Katherine Schwarzenegger’s wedding dress was equal parts simple, classic, and chic — and it's going to take your breath away.

Though few details were released immediately following the ceremony, the couple finally took to Instagram on Sun. to share the first official photo from their special day — one that not only offered up a peek at Schwarzenegger's wedding-day look, but also unveiled the designer behind the bride's breathtaking gown.

"Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives," Schwarzenegger captioned a photo of her and Pratt holding hands, lovingly looking into each other's eyes.

"We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us, and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani, who created a once in a lifetime dress for me to wear, and for Chris, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed." A once-in-a-lifetime gown it was, indeed.

Per the caption, Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani custom designed Schwarzenegger's dreamy wedding gown. The strapless, floor-grazing number features a sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice with delicate ribbon detailing along the waist. It was covered entirely in lace, and though the front was inherently sleek and simple, the back was all about drama.

An über-voluminous tulle train — that presumably weighed quite a bit, considering she needed a few extra hands to carry it — cascaded behind Schwarzenegger as she walked, while a sheer, lace-trimmed veil was elegantly clipped into her loosely-curled hair.

Schwarzenegger slipped into a pair of white platform pumps that ever-so-slightly peeked out from underneath her dress, accessorizing with a few glitzy jewels, including cluster diamond earrings, a dainty bracelet, and of course, her massive engagement ring.

It's safe to say Schwarzenegger's timelessly-chic wedding-day look is sure to be a major source of inspiration for future brides-to-be.
