The celebrity street-style scene has already been chock-full of all the summertime essentials worth knowing this season — and it isn't even technically summer yet. Jennifer Garner just found the coolest cargo green mini skirt that's guaranteed to amp up any outfit in seconds, while Jennifer Aniston's black blazer and white pants combo highlighted all the warm-weather basics to scoop up ASAP. The latest star to nail summer style? Katie Holmes, whose striped jumpsuit should definitely earn a spot on your shopping list. It's chic, practical, and boasts a great Cost Per Wear (yep, it's that versatile).

Holmes wasn't going to let a light drizzle put a damper on her style. On May 30, the actor stepped out on a warm but rainy New York City spring day (sans umbrella), wearing a striped jumpsuit from Ulla Johnson. The piece features a cropped, wide-leg silhouette, sweet ruffle sleeves, ruching along the neckline, and a belt for a waist-defining touch — all design elements that make a classic wardrobe staple feel a bit more fresh and fun, without taking away from its versatile nature.

Though the jumpsuit can easily be dressed up for a night on the town, Holmes took a decidedly more low-key approach with her accessories. She grounded the look with a pair of Isabel Marant suede sandals that she's been reaching for repeatedly since the temperatures have permitted her to do so, rounding out everything with a maroon leather bag that she slung over her shoulders and black sunglasses.

Holmes' overall effortless aesthetic was further enhanced with a nonchalant topknot that can be replicated in seconds (lazy girls, this one's for you) and a minimal makeup look that she's quickly become known for her. Simple, but oh-so-chic. Well done, Holmes.

The 40-year-old isn't the only celeb who's been playing favorites with jumpsuits. The likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jessica Alba, Hailey Baldwin, and even Queen Letizia have taken various versions of the practical one-piece out for a spin themselves.

Now, although Holmes' exact Ulla Johnson jumpsuit is currently sold out, the market is filled to the brim with equally covetable finds. Ahead, shop The Zoe Report's curated collection of the best one-pieces to buy now and wear all summer long.
