The Haircut Lea Michele Just Debuted Will Be Your Ultimate Summer Hair Inspo
At the rate girls are lining up at the salon for that long-awaited seasonal chop, everyone you know is going to be rocking short hair by the time bikini weather comes around. The latest in the summer haircut saga is Lea Michele's new lob. Disclaimer: This transformation will inspire you to lose some inches, yourself (if you haven't already, that is).
You should have known this was coming. Every it-girl on your Instagram has already debuted a fresh new warm-weather bob and it was only a matter of time before Michele gave her long chestnut hair the chop.
The actor is known for those cascading brunette waves, which only surpassed shoulder-length in the photo she posted on Tues. Now, with new caramel highlights and a shaggy lob haircut, the newlywed looks ready for a piña colada on the beach, or whatever her summer plans may be.
She tagged her longtime stylist, Laura Polko of Starworks (whose client roster also includes Shailene Woodley and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), in the post. The last time Polko worked her magic on Michele's hair was in March, when she touched up the actor's highlights and gave her a subtle trim after her tropical honeymoon with new husband Zandy Reich.
This time, the 32-year-old went much shorter than she usually goes, although not short enough to officially join the bob club that Kaia Gerber, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Hale are suddenly members of. Rather, Michele's choppy, textured waves hit just below the shoulders, perfect for the girl who still loves a ponytail (as she most certainly does).
Others who have recently opted for this same textured lob look include Reese Witherspoon and Julia Roberts. That's definitely not a bad group of women to emulate.
