This Little Women Star's Custom Dress Looked *Very* Different On The Runway
While you'll have to wait just a little longer to see the cast of Greta Gerwig's adaption of Little Women on the big screen, the fashion they've been serving up while promoting the film can hold you over until its release on Dec. 25. And, the latest must-see look comes from Little Women star Florence Pugh. The breakout actor looked positively radiant wearing a pastel pink dress that just so happened to match the pink carpet at a photocall in London.
Pugh, who plays Amy March in the film, wore a custom Emilia Wickstead pink gingham cloque midi-dress with white Rupert Sanderson pointy-toe pumps for the event. The bespoke dress was developed from the London-based designer's Spring/Summer 2020 collection, which was inspired by the Louisa May Alcott novel.
A similar floor-grazing gown was seen on the Emilia Wickstead runway in September; however, the design was given a shorter hem and a more streamlined silhouette for the actress' ensemble. That said, Pugh's dress did maintain the cap-sleeves, center cutout, and pointy collar, which gave it a sophisticated and sexy feel.
As for the rest of her look? Pugh kept it simple, opting for minimal jewelry and pulling her hair back into a sleek, high bun. She did, however, bring in a sultry, deep berry lip, which played nicely with the warmer tones used on her eyes and provided eye-catching contrast to the light pink hue of the dress.
Pugh joined co-stars Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, and James Norton as well as director Greta Gerwig at the press event. And the castmates seemed to have all color coordinated there outfits to be either black or pink. While Ronan and Norton went with sleek black looks, Chalamet, like Pugh, opted for a soft pink.
If her dress has now inspired you to bring some pastel pink into your winter wardrobe, continue on to shop a few pieces below.
