Margot Robbie’s Shoes Would Definitely Be Carrie Bradshaw-Approved
As the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood press tour rages on, Margot Robbie's red-carpet style just keeps getting better and better. From her ethereal beauty looks to her stunning dresses courtesy of her longtime stylist Kate Young, she constantly remains on everyone's best-dressed list. That's why, when Robbie wore a pair of gold sandals to the film's U.K. premiere, they naturally caught the attention of the style set, immediately reminding everyone of another famously fashionable blonde.
Robbie attended the event, which took place in London on July 30, in a burnt orange Oscar de la Renta gown. The dreamy frock featured her signature plunging neckline with a scarf detail around the neck. She accessorized with a pair of strappy gold stiletto sandals by Tabitha Simmons, a coordinating glittery gold clutch by Edie Parker, and some beaded gold drop earrings designed by Chanel. The sandals themselves were sky-high, and fabulously glam, a shoe one would no doubt catch on the feet of Sex And The City's Carrie Bradshaw. In fact, the whole ensemble rang of the dynamic series that captured hearts of millions in the early millennium.
Robbie's beauty look was just as relaxed as her outfit appeared to be: Her hair was styled in blown out waves while her makeup featured a perfectly coordinated matte orange smoky eye look. The makeup signified a trend for Robbie — she wore a similar, more sherbet-colored orange shade to the Hollywood premiere on her eyes, lips, and cheeks.
Part of the appeal of the actor's style is that it's easily emulated at home. Not only are her metallic shoes a statement-making piece, but so many of your favorite brands are making similar versions right now. While her exact pair retails for just under $600, more affordable brands like Steve Madden sell options that sell for a fraction of the price. And wearing a brighter pair of heels means that you can keep the rest of your accessories more neutral.
Look for shoes that are strappy with elevated details like ankle wraps or a bolder heel. Pair them with white outfits for the remainder of summer, and then break them out again for all of your holiday parties come wintertime. When worn with sleeker outfits in simple colors, the gold hue can actually read as a neutral.
