This Is How Meghan Markle Styles Skinny Jeans
While Kensington Palace has kept the soon-to-be royal baby's date of arrival a mystery, people are estimating that the tiny lord or lady will likely arrive in April. Thus, at eight months pregnant, the duchess can wear whatever she wants. Meghan Markle's gray skinny jeans were her solution to dressing cozy while still looking chic.
On Wed., Her Royal Highness made a surprise appearance during Prince Harry's speech at WE Day UK. During the event, he encouraged the thousands of students in the audience to engage in social change. Now, that's a message that Markle can get behind.
The duchess showed her support by joining her husband on stage after he finished. She didn't bother getting all dolled up, either, like she's been at recent events: the 50th anniversary of the investiture of Prince Charles, the couple's royal visit to Morocco, and The Endeavour Fund Awards.
Rather, she opted for low-key gray skinny jeans by Rag & Bone and a basic black tee. She elevated the look with a navy-blue cashmere jacket blazer by Ralph Lauren and black Manolo Blahnik pumps.
It might have been too dainty to read from the audience, but Markle also accessorized with a gold chain necklace that read "mommy."
This denim moment is a rarity for the duchess, but hey, who can blame her for prioritizing comfort? Dressing a baby bump isn't always easy, after all, but Markle seems to be ever-successful (word is that she's the mastermind behind her own outfits, too).
She's been partial to dark denim throughout her pregnancy, sporting black jeans all around New York City when she was in town for her baby shower in late Feb. Before then, she wore a similar pair during her and Prince Harry's visit to New Zealand in Oct.
It's refreshing to see the mom-to-be taking a break from dresses. Get her look with these similar jeans, ahead.
