Chloé’s New Snakeskin Boots Are The Winter Shoes You’ll Actually Want To Wear

Fashion isn't known for always focusing on practicality, so when looking for runway-approved boots you can actually wear in winter, the pickings are often slim. However, you won't have to choose between style and functionality this season, thanks to the new Chloé capsule on Net-A-Porter, Chloé Creative Director Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s first-ever exclusive capsule for the brand. Launching on Oct. 22, the diverse 27-piece collection has tons of great winter staples — including a pair of luxe snake-effect boots you'll actually be able wear in the snow.

This capsule is perfect for anyone uncertain about their autumn or winter style — it contains a variety of wardrobe essentials, like blouses, pants, and sweaters, as well as extra accessories like glasses and earrings, to serve as cold-weather fashion inspiration. Following in the innately chic Chloé girl image, the capsule comes in an autumnal-hued palette of toasted browns, '70s oranges, and apple red. Gold hardware, tight patterning, and snake-effect details also act as connective threads throughout the wide-ranging collection.

“We were super excited with Natacha heading up Chloé, as we vision her as a unique, independent Parisian woman," Elizabeth von der Goltz, Net-A-Porter's Global Buying Director, tells The Zoe Report in an email. "Through this capsule, we really wanted the brand to emphasize its new urban side. We wanted it to fully incorporate Natacha’s fresh point of view on the brand, such as the great tailoring and key menswear fabrics – it’s what we like to call ‘city.’”

But back to those snow boots: The capsule features a pair of snake-effect Chloé Rylee boots, which retail at $1,330. Fashioned in Italy out of glossed-leather, the boots have a hiker-approved lug sole and a protectively high ankle rise. Though other variations of Chloé's Rylee boot may already have your heart, this update to the brand's staple deserves a place in your closet this winter. While the shoes are already snow-ready, adding some additional leather protectant will make these truly winter-proof.

Another piece that will almost certainly become a winter break-out hit is the draped trench coat. At $3,395, the luxury trench pays homage to Chloé's Parisian roots by reimagining the beloved French girl staple. The loose fit of this trench turns the classic coat's streamlined shape on its head, sealing this piece's place in future street style photographs. Like the Rylee boots, this trench focuses on durability and warmth just as much as style, and is constructed out of mid-weight fabric and lined with satin.

Though the collection is largely made up of neutrals, there are also several vivid colors throughout to brighten up the brown and black pieces. A stunning red leather purse is available for $1,850, along with a pair of red snake-effect flats for $550. Both add an unexpected but welcome pop of color to the capsule (and are sure to liven up your winter wardrobe).
