This Is How Olivia Culpo Styles Meghan Markle’s Favorite Bag
In yet another example of the "Meghan Markle effect," the duchess' beloved accessory has become this season's it-bag. The tiny tote has worked its way into the world of couture, now turning up on the streets of New York Fashion Week. Olivia Culpo's mini bag is a royal wardrobe staple you need to adopt immediately.
It's the former Miss Universe's favorite time of the year. You can find her sitting front row at runway shows and treating the sidewalks of Manhattan as her own personal catwalk. On Tues., photographers captured Culpo in the outfit of the day: a beige, belted shirt dress by Fendi with taupe Stuart Weitzman pumps and a wool coat draped over her shoulders. You might recognize the bag she was carrying from another trendsetter, too.
It was the Gabriela Hearst micro bag that Meghan Markle loves (and owns in several colors). The Nina Bag is a tiny leather tote made unique with its sculptural design. It clasps with a trendy twist at the top and features rose-gold accents and a single leather hand strap. Its size adheres to the micro bag trend but is spacious enough to carry your essentials at the same time.
First, Markle debuted the bag in emerald green — matching her monochromatic blouse-and-pencil-skirt outfit — in Oct. during a visit to the University of Chichester alongside Prince Harry. She then carried the same bag to Hamilton Square in Jan., but this time in a more neutral hue that helped offset a bold red and purple ensemble (which, of course, turned out to be a topic of conversation for days). This camel color was the one that Culpo chose on her most recent outing.
