You may still be rocking bold neon nails at the moment — after all, summer's certainly at its height — but before you know it, you'll be itching to paint those digits in a shade more fitting for the season ahead. That means it's more than appropriate to get a head start on hunting down the nail polishes you'll want to wear on repeat all fall. And as luck would have it OPI's new Scotland nail polish collection offers up the only 12 shades you'll need, no matter which color profiles you're typically inclined to choose.

Typically, fall nail trends involve deep, moody shades or rich and earthy neutrals. It's a fitting color palette, considering those hues act as a perfect complement to the weather outside and all the fall fashions you'll soon be stocking up on — but let's face it, not everyone will be content with a standard gray shade or a basic burgundy. That's why iconic nail lacquer brand OPI looked across the pond to find unexpected inspiration for its fall 2019 collection, and it's safe to say that Scotland served up plenty.

“After seeing so many variations of plaid forecasted for fall fashion, we knew we’d end up in Scotland for inspiration this season,” OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said in an official statement.

OPI's new Scotland Collection, now available on the brand's site and at beauty stores like Ulta, Amazon Beauty, Sally Beauty, and licensed salon retailers in classic Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine, and Gel formulas, serves up a total of 12 striking shades that go beyond just the basics for the season. Inspired by not only the bold plaids but also the rolling landscapes Scotland is known for, these polishes cover all the bases from brilliant jewel tones to earthy hues and even a few versatile pastels to give you plenty of options for on-point fall manicures.

“The collection’s hero shade, Good Girls Gone Plaid, captures the moody, ethereal beauty of Scotland in autumn. Its dark amethyst hue takes on the appearance of super trendy black in certain light, but with much more dimension thanks to the jewel undertones,” Weiss-Fischmann said.

Other stunning purple shades include Nice Set of Pipes, a gray-tinged hue that's a bolder upgrade to typical fall neutrals, and Boys Be Thistle-ing At Me, a sparkling metallic deep grape that'll look great for work and play.

A moody deep green, Things I've Seen in Aber-green, and a cool charcoal gray, Rub-a-Pub-Pub round out the collection with edgier options, while unexpectedly bright colors like sky blue OPI Grabs the Unicorn by the Horn and glowy pink You've Got That Glas-glow provide unconventional options for those who don't vibe with the deeper polishes. And who can resist the cheekily-named (not to mention gloriously sparkly) ocean blue Nessie Plays Hide & Sea-k?
