Since the Duchess of Sussex gave birth on Mon. morning, royal fans have been anxiously waiting for the very first photos of Meghan Markle's baby. On Wed. morning, the new family made their way to the grounds of Windsor Castle for their first official photo session. Spoiler alert: It was well worth the wait, because Baby Sussex is unsurprisingly adorable.

Instead of posing for photos directly after giving birth (like royals Kate Middleton and Princess Diana did with their children), Markle and Prince Harry chose to celebrate the arrival of their son in privacy. Two days later, Markle, Prince Harry, and the newest royal posed for a sweet photo op at St. George’s Hall in Windsor Castle (where the couple had their wedding reception in 2018).

“It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy," the new mom shared with reporters.

Wearing a sleeveless dress by Grace Wales Bonner, Markle held Prince Harry's arm as he cradled their son. "He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm ... he's just been the dream," she said.

"I don't know where he gets that from," Harry added.

Markle and Prince Harry announced the birth of their child via Instagram on Mon. morning, disclosing few details about the little royal. Other than his May 6 birth date, the parents shared that he weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces and arrived in the early hours of the morning.

"The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives," the post read.

Although Markle and Prince Harry have finally debuted the little royal, one thing is still missing: his name. Whether the duke and duchess will reveal their son's name today still remains, though there's definitely a chance that the new family will keep their privacy a little longer. In the meantime, the internet's nickname for the new royal, Baby Sussex, will do.
