Blue Suede Is The Celeb-Approved Fabric You Don’t Own Yet

While you may never be ready to fully part with your LBD, Priyanka Chopra's blue-suede dress could be the inspiration you've been looking for to mix things up.
Chopra attended the God's Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards in New York City on Oct. 16 in what's about to be your new favorite fabric. The actress opted for a unique red-carpet look by wearing a suede button-down trench dress in a pale-blue shade from Michael Kors' Spring '19 collection. Chopra added metallic accessories, including a miniature gold pouch and criss-cross gladiator pumps.
Chopra, never one to forget the importance of jewelry, combined a diamond-encrusted body chain with matching earrings, and of course, her gorgeous engagement ring from fiancé Nick Jonas. She complimented the midi dress with a subtle, steel-blue smoky eye, glossy lips, and radiant skin. To finish off the sophisticated evening look, she pulled her hair into a bun and added a bit of volume at the crown of her head.
Chopra has proven to be a loyal fan of bright colors and bold fabrics, no matter the season. The 36-year-old was recently photographed in a red, monochrome outfit, featuring an asymmetrical, leather wrap skirt and a silky blouse. Chopra likely got the idea for the all-red combination from Akris, after the designer debuted it on the runway during Paris Fashion Week.
If you haven't already been convinced to ditch your LBD for something with a little more pizazz — even temporarily — you're about to be.
