This Is How Priyanka Chopra Styles The Snakeskin Trend
To say Priyanka Chopra's style game has been seriously on point lately would be a grave understatement. The newlywed, who's long mastered the art of mixing trend-forward staples with elegant classics, has been dishing out some of her best looks to date all throughout the month of Jan. And on Tues. evening, the actor delivered one of her strongest looks yet. Priyanka Chopra's snakeskin-coat outfit is not only easy to recreate, but also demonstrates one of the most foolproof ways to rock animal print this season.
After spending the first few days of 2019 on the icy Swiss Alps, Chopra is officially back in Los Angeles. And she's traded in her warm, toasty black puffer coat and super-stylish ski suits for staples that are slightly more, well, West Coast-friendly.
On Jan. 22, the 36-year-old was photographed out in L.A. with her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Sophie Turner. The duo managed to offer up a double punch of style inspiration while grabbing dinner at Craig's, donning two looks that were very different. Turner went slightly more casual-cool in an oversized Tommy Hilfiger polo shirt (which she wore as a dress) and Louis Vuitton Archlight sneakers. Chopra, on the other hand, opted for something a bit more dressed up and edgy.
Chopra wore a pair of black, high-waisted trousers and a sheer, corset-like top. The real show-stopper, though? Chopra's sleek snakeskin trench coat. The lightweight jacket offered just the right amount of warmth and protection during L.A.'s warmer-than-average winter, and it also infused her simple black outfit with the perfect dose of edge.
The finishing touches to Chopra's nighttime look included a Bulgari Serpenti bag, which she slung effortlessly over her shoulder, and a Hermès belt. Her pin-straight, shiny hair was parted down the middle, and her makeup was glamorous but not over-the-top. She opted for a soft-gold shadow on her lids and a dark purple on her pout.
Though there are so many stying takeaways from Chopra's latest ensemble, the one that simply can't be missed is the power of a snakeskin-print coat. And while, yes, this particular animal print has found its way onto other wardrobe staples, too, like boots, belts, and bags, there's something about wearing a python-embossed trench that feels inherently chic.
So, take note from Chopra and style your snakeskin coat with easy, simple base layers. Or, if you're feeling bold and experimental, try clashing patterns by mixing a colorful floral with a gray-toned python piece. Ahead, The Zoe Report's favorite Chopra-inspired jackets to buy now and wear all season long.
