Since the fateful day that Nick Jonas proposed this past July, speculations have been stirring about what his supremely stylish bride would wear on her wedding day. People have been placing bets on the details of Priyanka Chopra's wedding dress for months. Now that the designer has been revealed, it seems like the most obvious choice all along.

While no photos of the gown have surfaced just yet, Chopra confirmed in an interview with Vogue that it was designed by one of her favorites, Ralph Lauren. And if you've been following Hollywood's favorite couple closely, then you know exactly why.

The couple has a history with the luxury fashion brand. In fact, Ralph Lauren has been woven into their love story since day one. While Chopra and Jonas only dated officially for two months before getting engaged, they had known each other for years. They shared the spotlight during the 2017 Met Gala as guests of Ralph Lauren, who was the mastermind behind Chopra's famous trench coat-inspired dress.

The one-of-a-kind gown featured a sizeable collar and a cathedral-length train. Posing for photos alongside her on the red carpet was Jonas, sporting an Art Deco-inspired, jacquard-print jacket from the designer's Purple Label.

The 36-year-old former Miss World wore Ralph Lauren again to the 2018 Met Gala just before Us Weekly confirmed that Chopra and Jonas were dating. Following the event's theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," Chopra wore a velvet burgundy gown with the most elaborate gold, beaded hood.

The lavish Met Gala outfit was “completely crafted by hand, with Swarovski crystals, meticulous beadwork, and over 250 hours of embroidery,” Ralph Lauren said on Instagram.

Then, after Jonas popped the question in July, the couple attended the designer's 50th anniversary during New York Fashion Week in Sept. Chopra wore a crystal-embellished, mock-neck gown, while her 26-year-old husband-to-be wore a crisp, white suit, again by Purple Label.

Although Chopra had been wearing traditional Indian outfits during her three-day wedding extravaganza, it was unclear what exactly the Jamshedpur-born bride would walk down the aisle in.

She seemed to have been dropping hints about it since her bridal shower in Oct. She wore a full-length white, feather-clad Marchesa dress to the party, which was aptly held at Tiffany & Co.'s Blue Box Cafe.

Then there was the bachelorette extravaganza in Amsterdam, where Chopra wore several feathery numbers including a sparkly mini dress and duster by Georges Chakra. About a month before the wedding, the Quantico actor told Entertainment Tonight that her wedding dress would be "comfortable and cute."

Some people guessed she might wear Vera Wang or embroidery guru Naeem Khan, but Ralph Lauren is undoubtedly the most sentimental pick. And while you wait with bated breath for photos of the gown, it's probably safe to assume that Chopra sported lots of texture (perhaps even feathers) and a long train on her big day.

In India, wedding-dress white is actually a color associated with funerals, so to find out whether the bride followed the Western tradition, you'll just have to stay tuned.
