Sophie Turner Just Got Married In The *Prettiest* White Jumpsuit
After absolutely crushing the Billboard Music Awards red carpet in a futuristic Louis Vuitton outfit, Sophie Turner changed into a wedding jumpsuit for a surprise ceremony Las Vegas-style. She met Joe Jonas at the altar of one of those little white chapels, presumably, and exchanged vows via an Elvis impersonator. Lucky for all who weren't invited, Diplo was there to document the whole thing on his Instagram story.
When the lovebirds posed for photos together at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Weds. evening, nobody expected that they'd be married by the end of the night. But after Jonas took the stage with his brother boyband for a nostalgic performance and the A-list crowd fled for obligatory post-awards show libations, Jonas and Turner had their own little afterparty and it's one they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
The Game of Thrones mainstay changed out of her bold floral-and-metallic jumpsuit and into, well, another jumpsuit because (as you can see from the Vegas-style ceremony) Turner is no traditional bride.
She walked down the aisle in a silky, spaghetti-strapped jumpsuit by Bevza — bouquet in-hand and veil on her head — in front of an intimate crowd, which apparently included Diplo.
Thankfully, the DJ, who also appeared on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet earlier that evening, live streamed the historic moment on social media.
Diplo's footage shows Turner walking into the venue, with the caption, "Gonna hit this wedding real quick." Then, the DJ (who is later seen performing at the reception on the groom's Instagram story) captured the couple saying their nuptials in front of an officiant dressed as Elvis.
Turner's publicist, Gertie Lowe, confirmed to CNN that Jonas and Turner's surprise wedding was legitimate. The couple reportedly obtained their marriage license earlier that day.
While their Weds. night wedding was unannounced, it certainly shouldn't come as too much of a shock to those who've followed their romance from the start. Jonas proposed to his British fiancée in 2017, less than a year after his brother Nick confirmed their relationship with an Instagram post.
Since then, Nick, himself, wed Priyanka Chopra, which could have been the reason for Jonas and Turner's long engagement. In any case, the ceremony was handled in the couple's personal style — fun, spontaneous, and not at all conventional (photos from the event show them posing in sunglasses on a pink Cadillac).
The actor, who has become quite the trendsetter over the years, is known to be rule breaker when it comes to fashion. Her wedding jumpsuit — a ruffle-trimmed one piece with a deep-V neckline that she paired with gold knot-bow mules by Loeffler Randall — is the perfect example.
