While summer as an adult doesn't equal two months of blissful freedom from any and all responsibilities (kids should really appreciate that more, by the way), there's still a sense of levity that makes it a particularly tough season to say goodbye to. But if anything can make summer's end a little sweeter, it's some stylish new additions to your closet. And what's more worthy of a fall wardrobe than some back-to-business pieces that put the power in power dressing? That's exactly what you'll find in the Fall 2019 TommyxZendaya collection, which is full of stylish pieces perfect for the strong, modern woman — and it may just make you more than willing to put your sundresses, shorts, and sandals away.

For their second collaboration, Zendaya and Tommy Hilfiger looked to classic '70s silhouettes and cool, confident women for inspiration. The resulting fall drop from the actress and the iconic Americana brand is sharply tailored, richly colored, confidently edgy, and seriously ideal for your fall work wardrobe. Full of supple leathers, luxurious velvets, soft faux furs and chic metal hardware accents with an autumn-ready color palette of burgundy, black, gray, and metallics, it's the only collection you need to exude all the boss-lady confidence this season.

It's not the first time the design duo has looked to the effortlessly glamorous and fashionably fearless decade of the 1970s — the first TommyxZendaya drop in Spring 2019 channeled disco fever with lots of flared pants, denim, and colorful prints. But for the fall collection, which lands on tommy.com and at Nordstrom on Sept. 8 after its official New York Fashion Week debut, they took a decidedly more structured, business-like approach.

Several of the pieces can currently be explored on Tommy Hilfiger's site, where you can even take a quiz to determine which styles are most suited for your unique aesthetic. Look out for hallmark features of '70s fall style like houndstooth printed blouses with strong collars, timeless belted trenches, plaid and animal print coats, tailored wide-leg velvet trousers, and languid metallic party dresses paired with chic snakeskin platform boots. Feminine wrap dresses contrast with double-breasted coats and blazers, and looks are accented with luxurious printed scarves and oversized hobo bags, for office-to-after hours looks that come together effortlessly.

Watch all of the looks walk down the runway during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 8, and in the meantime start crafting your wish list from the sneak-peek pieces already unveiled on Tommy Hilfiger's TommyxZendaya landing page. Power dressing is about to get a whole lot easier to pull off.
