The Founders Of This Cult Hat Brand Expanded Into Read-To-Wear—And It's Full Of '90s Staples
It's clear that ‘90s-inspired trends have dominated the market unlike any other. Thanks to the return of the decade’s most iconic staples (like slip dresses, spaghetti strap tops, and baby tees) the era of Kate Moss, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, and Princess Diana has become the defining sartorial inspiration for 2019. Of course, along with the ‘90s, there’s another major movement that has been sweeping today’s fashion industry: sustainability. And when you combine the two, the result is new fashion label, I Dream For You — the Lack of Color founders's new line. Hands down, this will become your go-to for chic and casual everyday pieces.
I Dream For You launches with a debut collection filled with vintage-inspired pieces ranging from the ultimate little black dress to the perfect pair of 100 percent cotton jeans. In other words, it’s chock-full of pieces that’ll fit seamlessly into your wardrobe. Plus, because the label comes from the founders of the celebrity-approved hat brand Lack of Color, Rob Tilbury and Tess Corvaia, you know it's bound to be seen on the likes of Kendall Jenner or Bella Hadid.
“We searched for years and scratched around the globe to find the right people to work with on this project,” the founders said in a statement. “It’s been hard because we want to offer really high quality, long lasting items that are sustainably made but also keep the price point to where almost anyone can still buy it…we feel have done it.”
Using recycled materials and organic cotton, I Dream For You’s debut collection ranges from $149 to $299. The women's capsule features timeless pieces like the $169 IDFY Blouse, a classic button-down to wear with everything from a pencil skirt for the office to linen trousers for weekend brunch. Another effortless option would be the Sundress, which is also available for $169 and can be worn with a pair of sneakers for more casual occasions.
Looking for pieces you can wear on your next night out? You won’t go wrong with the $149 Silk Cami and the matching $199 Wave Silk Skirt. Wear them together for an easy and put-together ensemble, or style them as separates with jeans or a T-shirt. Another undeniably chic option would be the $209 Jolie Dress, which can be worn for an upcoming fall wedding or a casual day off. Of course, just in case you want another silk dress to wear, you won’t go wrong with the Venus Dress, which costs $269.
