Shopbop Launched An Exclusive Capsule To Celebrate Its 20th Anniversary (& It Features Some Of Your Favorite Brands)
When you reach a major milestone you might gather a group of friends for a special dinner or perhaps you reward yourself with a vacation. But, how does Shopbop celebrate two decades in business? With what it does best — fashion, of course. Part of the e-tailer's campaign to commemorate its 20th anniversary, Shopbop's new capsule collection, The Twenty, launched on Sept. 5. And, unsurprisingly, it's filled with pieces that you'll be eager to welcome into your wardrobe for fall.
Curated by Shopbop's uber-stylish Fashion Director, Caroline Maguire, The Twenty is an exclusive collection of 20 styles from 20 designers the fashion-crowd can't get enough of right now. In the mix you'll find pieces that highlight some of the season's biggest trends from the likes of Isabel Marant, Sandy Liang, and STAUD — as well as more highly-coveted styles from the Fall 2019 runways.
"After twenty years of Shopbop, we have a lot to celebrate — the designers and brands we launched and with whom we fostered deep relationships, our wildly passionate teams and unique company culture, and our continuously supportive industry partners. But most importantly, it's about celebrating our worldwide customers who inspire us daily to create the best online shopping experience possible," said Kim Fleissner, CEO of Shopbop and East Dane, in a press release from the brand.
The capsule is composed of a range of pieces, from fall classics like this $700 Acne Studios cable-knit sweater and this silk slip dress from Cushnie for $1,595, to must-have, statement-making styles. Eye-catching jackets such as this Sandy Liang quilted, leopard-print zip-up and bold frocks (check out this stunner from Ulla Johnson) will bring a jolt of energy into your closet for the season. Meanwhile, you're likely to cozy up in Prabal Gurung's Lucca fringed turtleneck, $1,995, as soon as the temperature really starts to dip.
As for the accessories? Minimalists will want to peek at this wear-with-everything messenger bag from 3.1 Phillip Lim, $695, while STAUD-lovers should set their eyes on the $350 snake-print Andy Bag. But, if an on-trend, croc-embossed boot is at the top of your wishlist, look no further than the studded Kiki Boots from Maryam Nassir Zadeh, $995.
In addition to the capsule, Shopbop opened its first-ever pop-up store in New York City. So, if you happen to be near the big apple between now and Sept. 22 head to the Soho neighborhood to scope out all the fashions you're currently loving in-person.
