Dôen's fall 2019 chapter 2 collection includes fall dresses, like this corduroy ruffled silhouette.

Before too long (hopefully, at least) you'll be tossing your transitional looks aside in favor of ensembles that are much more in line with fall's cool, crisp weather. That means you'll be opting for longer sleeves, chunky knits, covered legs and feet, and those initial layers of cozy outwear that keep the season's first chills from getting to you on commutes and weekend strolls. But the most savvy shoppers know that effective fall layers don't have to look overly utilitarian, and can instead be just as dreamy as your breeziest summer dresses. The second launch of Dôen's fall 2019 collection is proof, and it's finally here to help you get prepared — but you'll have to move fast if you want to scoop up all the best pieces.

If you've browsed the website of Los Angeles-based and cult-adored clothing brand Dôen lately, you've likely noticed that several of its fall 2019 drops have already flown off shelves. It's no wonder why, considering the collection of printed cotton blouses and comfy cardigans in muted fall tones is perfectly suited to ease you into dressing for the season. And if you missed your shot at the subtly vintage styles you had your eye on, you're in luck because an entire second installment just dropped.

Pick up the charming Pomme Cardigan, $498, (extra cute in muted gold color Chamomile) to throw over the cotton pieces when evening comes, and grab a couple of the drop's affordable bandanas and thigh-high socks to give outfits extra panache.

The brand is also taking a chance on a totally new category this season with its outerwear debut — and the risk certainly looks like it'll pay off.

Patchwork and plaid pieces abound, like the sweet quilted Sedona Jacket, $498, (which comes in cool blue and rich earthy color ways) and the classic double-breasted wool Thalia Coat, $598, both of which play perfectly into Dôen's expertly cultivated vintage-chic aesthetic. And the hip-length Valley Coat, $698, and longer hemline Morrisey Coat, $898, regale in the triumphant return of last year's biggest outwear trend, the teddy bear coat, encouraging you to carry the cozy look right into 2019's cold-weather seasons.
