Over 4000 miles from her home base in London, fashion mogul Victoria Beckham joined other industry royals for the inaugural Fashion Trust Arabia awards ceremony, which recognized outstanding Arab designers, offering them mentorship and up to $200,000 in funding. The trendsetter and mother-of-four took to Instagram to share her adventures abroad, including behind-the-scenes footage getting ready for the event. Excellent outfit aside, Victoria Beckham's blue smoky eye was the star of the snap.

The swoon-worthy shadow, courtesy of makeup artist Wendy Rowe, served as a dazzling pop of color against Beckham's sophisticated suit and blouse. The fashion designer dished out a few details of the evening look, posting step-by-step videos of the "clean, fresh skin and smoky blue eye" to her Instagram Story.

Beckham then uploaded a closer look at Rowe's contouring technique, which complimented her rich shadow perfectly. Finishing off the series with a peek at her selection of Jessica McCormack jewels, the 44-year-old allowed fans to vote on diamonds or emeralds for the special affair. Regardless of which precious stone came out on top, it's clear that her smoky eye was the brightest.

You might think it's best to leave bold eyeshadow in the past with supermodels of the '90s, but Beckham's modern beauty moment is proving otherwise. As seen on the designer's dramatic look, the perfect addition to a smoky eye is a solid nude lip, allowing the striking pigment to command all of the attention. Finish things off with subtle contouring and a pop of highlighter, and you're all set.

Whether you've got a fancy occasion or a date night coming up, it's worth welcoming a fresh blue pigment into your beauty bag. Accompanied with a good brush and dramatic mascara, The Zoe Report's picks for blue eyeshadow are sure to do the trick.
