Julianne Hough Just Wore The $130 Top You Need For The Holidays
Dressing for the holidays isn't an easy feat, but Julianne Hough's floral top may just be the perfect party piece. The dancer was photographed in Los Angeles on Thurs. in a floral, tie-front blouse that she dressed down with a pair of light-wash jeans. Hough's cheery $130 top is the piece you'll want hanging in your closet when you wake up the morning of Thanksgiving and realize you have nothing to wear.
Temperatures in Los Angeles are still pushing 80 degrees but the Dancing With The Stars champion found a way to dress for fall anyway with this floral georgette blouse by The East Order. The top has a high, ruffle-trim neck (which Hough opted to leave unbuttoned for a more casual fit) and feminine tie-accent cuffs at the hands. The top is lightweight and moveable — just what you want in a party shirt — with an autumn-inspired yellow-flower print. Plus, Hough's top features a subtle tie at the waist, which paired perfectly with her tailored jeans.
In Sept., Hough's choppy bob made its debut at the premiere of A Star Is Born. On Thurs., Hough styled her bob with straight bangs and slightly curled ends to match the ultra-feminine blouse. Her black-studded ankle boots and oversized black-leather shoulder bag balanced the look out with just a touch of edge.
Get The Look
The tie-front crop top was the trend of the summer — slouchy, wide-sleeved tie-front tops with plunging necklines were everywhere you looked. Now, Hough's shirt is evidence that the trend can be taken into fall, too. Autumn floral prints will continue to pop up throughout the season as well, according to New York Fashion Week. The Fall/Winter shows featured tons of floral from Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, and more.
Needless to say, a floral tie-front blouse should be in your future, too. Pair a crop top like Hough's with your favorite jeans for an informal look or dress it up slightly with a pair of wide-leg corduroy trousers. As your holiday office party approaches, opt for a silky floral blouse with a tie on the neckline and tuck it into an A-line maxi skirt for a polished look.
