Gigi Hadid Broke Fall's Biggest Fashion Rule & We Can't Wait To Copy Her

Fashion has had a difficult time shaking some of its most outdated rules. One of the most controversial? Whether you can actually wear white after labor day. Like the many celebrities who've ignored the rule well into fall, model and epic trendsetter Gigi Hadid flipped the script when she wore a seasonally appropriate, all-white outfit on Wednesday afternoon.

While bouncing between shows on the final day of New York Fashion Week, the 23-year-old wore a classic white t-shirt tucked into a pair of textured, ankle-grazing trousers. Hadid stayed warm in a fluffy, floor-length coat that looked effortlessly glamorous with her suede boots. She finished off the casual and cozy look with wet hair (a trend that also popped up on the Calvin Klein runway), a shearling top-handle bag, and round sunglasses.

To an extent, it's understandable why the majority of your white pieces are pushed towards the back of your closet come fall. Think about it: Your white linen pants are perfect for braving the heat on a poolside, summer day, but not so perfect for fall's testy forecasts. That's where Hadid's take comes into play: The model opted for a comfortable, monochromatic look that didn't read summery.
